Although classed as Crown Dependencies, the Channel Islands are not part of the UK or the EU.
As a result, you must follow the normal customs procedures and fly the yellow 'Q' flag on entering territorial waters and report to Customs. When arriving from the UK, France or between the islands themselves, it is usually sufficient to deposit a form. Clearance can be given at Braye in Alderney, St Peter Port, St Sampson or Beaucette marina in Guernsey and St Helier of Gorey in Jersey.
Standard ship's papers and crew papers should be carried.
